ONE GOSPEL

“I pray not only for them [the disciples], but I  for those who believe in me because of their messages. I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as You are in me, and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me”,

John 17:20-21

The primary task every man should embark on is to follow Jesus and preaching of the gospel is a compulsory assignment that is given to every believer, Matthew 4:19.

Gospel is considered to be Good News that is from the Almighty God. It is rather coded as God’s spell which is really Good tidings. This kind of good news is centre around Jesus Christ. It basically has to do with humanity's reunion with the Most High God. It is a changing power that converts a sinner to a saint. The Gospel, a restructuring agent that makes man to reason the same way God will.

“The Lord has provided me a house”

“I now have my own car”

“I just got wedded”

“I have been offered admission into premier and prestigious university” etc. 

They are really pieces of good news but they could not fit in into the ideal gospel on point. All other good news only gives happiness and cannot be source of joy. These pieces good news are ephemeral and lasted only when man has this terrestrial body.

God has built the whole world on autopilot. Things just work out on their own volition. For instance, when a man and a woman mates naturally, the act has a new organism as an end product. That’s why God disallow man from mating with animals. When the working process is thereby tampered with, God steps in. When the normal process cannot progress, then God come up with above normal (abnormal). The world system being created on autopilot has made a lot of people to disbelieve God’s existence.

Many atheists had believed that God does not exist because they could see the work of nature evolving on their own without external force. Really, God does not create a new thing apart from the earliest work of six days in Gen. 1 and 2. So what God occasionally does is a work of recreation.

God had set everything on motion once the button is clicked the system starts operating.

Gospel is a processed supernatural plan. It is a process that was perfected and sealed by Jesus’ death. It is a salvation plan that determines the continuation of another unhindered branded autopilot life of humanity. It is a plan prepared and produced by God for the eternal salvation of human kind. God masterminded it, He orchestrated it and He ordained it. Although, Gospel’s spreading is solely carried out by God, yet He still delegates the assignment to human being. God wants and appoints the saved to reach out to the unsaved. God is love and He wants us to love one another. He takes pleasure when we extend the saving opportunity to others.

Evangelism is a process of Gospelersthe gospel to others. It is a definite act of the church (the saved person) to lead a definite sinner to a definite saviour at a particular time. It is a conscious effort of a saved person who has got a link of relationship with God to direct and introduce to somebody else, how to get hooked to this spiritual consanguinity. The church is primarily a building (body) built by God. Also, it is a collective gathering of the elects. The church is therefore not really the building built with blocks and sands but the soul that has been re-planned into the family of God. The sole responsibility of the regenerated soul is to launch out for the unsaved. We must not be like the prodigal son’s elder brother, who was very angry at the reunion feast for his lost brother, Luke 15:11-32.

In networking, especially online business, there is always a special card or gift for referring another person into the business. If you can refer someone to register with fiver for example there is a bonus and special package for you. In the same vein, there is also special reward for Gospelers, referral of God’s Good news. But the passion for referring - reward should not be the main urging that will drive us to do the work of evangelism; rather, we must be engulfed with empathy. Sometimes in the past, we have been in their shoes, a sinner, but now the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed us into God’s family, this should be the basis for us to spread the gospel at any time.
