AFTER ROUND ONE...
Last week when some of the children in my community were on mid-term break, some children gathered and were embarking on one old, wicked game called #AfterRounOne. It's a game that individual player picks his/her choice number and submit all or part(s) of the fingers of either the left or right hand. The submitted numbers are counted and if it tallies with one of the players' choice number(s) he/she waits till the last person whose choice number(s) is not drawn. Thereafter, the slapping boom with the outstretched hands of the victim the scaled through ones take the advantage of the game; in turns, they beat the victim until the said person could dodge the slapping without the hot slap touching his/her hands....
Initially, I wanted to beeline stop them, but something refrained me, and I watched them closely. I discovered that sometimes a particular child was a victim for a long time; a child decided to take the stead of a victim and helped to receive the hot slaps; some cried while receiving the slaps, while some were smiling receiving those hot slaps... My attention was drawn to a particular well-mannered child who has been receiving hot slaps and when it was his turn to beat a particular devilish boy who had been beating the cultured boy, the cultured boy pitied the bad boy; he did not slap him... I later dispersed the children and made a casual investigation to know a about the little merciful cultured boy and I discovered that the boy is the first child of the 5 children of his parents. He is too kind to a fault. he had received insults, punishments and scoldings from his parents and some elderly ones for a crime or offense he never committed...
My encounter with those children taught me greatly life-touching experience. Sometimes good people will always be a victim of evil; life gives us what it desires and not what we deserve, merit or worth; bad or good everyone does is not born through what we are passing through, but it originates from the real person passing through us; some people have to be sheep to the lionistic nature of some people; life can't be fair to everybody accordingly...
