PLEASURE MANAGEMENT

Proverbs 25:28
[28] He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Pleasure is anything that gives or causes enjoyment. It's a thing that gives satisfaction. There's a thin line differences between Pleasure and Nourishment

Nourishments are the essential needs of life feeding, clothing and shelter. Pleasure is the feeling derived by the enjoyment or expectation of good. It is an attachment necessary or not necessary. Good examples of pleasure include amusement, recreation, reading, gist, fashion chatting, joke etc.

Management, otherwise known as Administration, is the use of limited resources combined with forecasting, planning, leadership and execution skills to achieve predetermined specific goals. It's a way of controlling, guiding, taming, judicious usage of available resources.

What stained some religions is inability to compress pleasure. What makes the difference between old time Christians and today's Christians is the management of pleasure. Then, a Christian can tarry in a room or on a mountain in praying just for a soul or to effect change in his vicinity. These days nobody want to die; 'I can't come and kill myself' is the song we are singing; Christianity should not be taken hard' has become our daily tune.

Souls are perishing because they don't see us to be serious minded persons. The looks on us by them is that '...I'm even better than these ones in all things; morally, mentally, in fashion, even spiritually...' Our lacks in controlling our pleasure and enjoyment have painted us as unpolished Christians.

Managing and controlling our pleasure helps our moral lives and a good conduct is a proof that the sinners can see in the life of a genuine saved person, to allow the sinner to come to the knowledge of Christ. We must not be a Rough Diamond Christian, having good nature of Christ but lacking polished manner.

Nobody has a right to say it's a sin for a lady to put on trousers. Authoritatively, putting on earrings may not mean you are a sinner. Fornication and Adultery may not be categorized as sin to a Christian in quote... but the question is What can't you forgo for the sake of Preaching the gospel effectively or to be able to represent Christ well before and in the World.

'The Spirit of a Prophet is subject to and controllable by the Prophet' So the Bible says as I've paraphrased. Don't let's be carried away by that vain confession that 'I need not to control myself again, the Holy Spirit is now in charge'.

My brother, the Holy Spirit takes Charge of your spirit; occasionally, you dabble once in a while to control your soul by who you allow to come in God or devil... My Sister, your body is 80% controlled by you. Therefore, learn to control your pleasure.
The LORD be with you in Jesus' name. (Amen).
Have a Wonderful Blessed Weekend
